Hoov was a great guy and tons of fun to be around. We have some great memories of him from the Moonshiner’s Reunions we all attended in South Carolina. He will be greatly missed. May God give strength to the family and his little girl as they struggle through this very difficlult time.

I wrap this dear family with my thoughts and my prayers. My heart aches for them. Dustin’s mother and I are the very best of friends. I last saw him a few days after Christmas while I was visiting with the family for a few days. I’d known Dustin for over 10 years. He was a kind, good young man and he loved his 2 yr. old daughter so much. I will always hold fond memories of Dustin in my heart. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, but especially by his sweet, lovely daughter and his loving mother, my very best friend. I’ll miss you, Dustin. OMA

    Eulogy for Dustin Wade:
    11/01/1981 – 01/28/2010

Dustin Wade, also known as “Hoover” by his friends, was on a journey in his life. A journey to a better life for himself and Carlie. A big man with an
even bigger heart and the kind of guy that made friends anywhere he went. When you met Dustin you could tell he had a kind and gentle soul. He was
loving, caring, loyal, and when you got one those BIG hugs from him… you knew you’d been hugged! He was a proud man who loved his Moma! Some could even say he was a Moma’s Boy and proud of it.
Dustin’s life took a major change with the birth of his twins William and Carlie. He’s now reunited with his son William and that gives us all some
peace. With the birth of his children his true journey began, and you could see that purpose and change in his life. His mission had become to make a
better life for his family. The love he carried for William and Carlie was his greatest love. Dustin has left us with a precious gift and that’s his daughter
Carlie and he will always live through her.
Dustin lived by the three F’s: Family, Friends, and Fishing. When it came down to these you can say he was a rich man. He has very loyal, loving
family and friends. When they speak of him they all mention that smile he had and how it could take a bad day and make it good. Dustin was a “Plum
Hollow” kind of guy, a guy that could give out a “hootie-hoo” to his friends and they would come running. There’s not mystery why people liked being
around him… he was just so fun and full of life, and you couldn’t beat those hugs either.
Getting back to those three F’s… you can’t speak of Dustin without talking of about his love for fishing. The man was eat up with it, and the Lord
blessed him with great fishing skills. If you had the opportunity to fish with Dustin, then you know he had one mission… to catch more and bigger fish
than you. Honestly, more times than not, he was successful. It brings great peace to know he’s now fishing the lakes and streams in Heaven, and you
know the fishing must be great there!
Dustin left us too early, but we know he is in a better place and has left us better having known him. As he was loved by so many and will be dearly
missed. We should all take a lesson from Dustin, and that’s to tell the ones you love that you love them…. and to always give those smiles and giant
    hugs… because tomorrow isn’t guaranteed.
    Dustin… Godspeed Brother!

Another year is almost here. Can’t believe still today he’s not going to be home in just a little while. Seeing that big grin when he does saying “I’m Home”!!!
    3 year’s. Yesterday…
Little Carlie is doing good. 5 years old now. She is her Daddy’s girl. That laugh from the gut… can’t help but bring a smile to my face to hear it. He gave it to her to carry on.
I miss my baby, son, my best friend, yesterday, today, tomorrow, always….
