Cory was the first team leader I ever had in the army with Weapons Squad. I just found out about his passing and my heart is broken over it. Even though we didn’t keep up over the years, he is a brother. His loss is a loss for the world. He was one of the best men I knew and it was an honor to serve by his side.

While I only knew Cory a short time, it didn’t take long to realize that he was a benevolent person. I will never forget the time we spent together or the kind words of encouragement he gave me during trying times. You will be missed, Cory.

To the family of Corey, I am sooo very sorry for the loss of your beloved Corey! The shock and pain cannot be expressed in words! my heart breaks for you… even though I didn’t know Corey…. I only saw Corey one time that was at Uncle Alan
Craig’s funeral…It brought me to tears to see Corey,so handsome in his uniform, walk down to Uncle Alan and tear the medal from his neck and place it on the casket! If a picture could say a thousand words that moment did! How grateful I feel for Corey’s brave sacrifice and service to our
country!! The cost of war cannot be measured…..I pray that God will wrap His arms around you and give you the peace that passes ALL understanding! Even so come quickly Lord Jesus, you died for us so that Corey may be restored to the arms of His family!! Great is your faithfulness oh God!! Love and prayers Marilyn

    Don and Joyce,

We are so deeply saddened at the loss of Your precious Cory. We mostly remember Cory as a little boy. Such a handsome and adorable child. We saw him one time at MCC when he had come home and he gave us a big smile and hug having never forgotten us. My heart aches when I think of your breaking hearts. God knew his heart and we have a blessed hope in being reunited with him again. Keep th faith!! Love, Charles and Julie

Cory, it still feels so unreal that you could be gone. You and Becca walked into out lives wanting to help with charities we were involved in and became wonderful friends to us. There is so much I could write, but you know what is in our hearts and that is just for us to know. The only thing I will say is the thing you always thanked us for and that is what Keith always has told you and it still holds true…”as long as you are ok, you dont have to explain if you don’t want to, we are your friends no matter what”…Rest our dear friend…may God bring you peace and comfort… We love and miss you…

I haven’t interacted with Cory since MCE. I didn’t know what he was doing with his life and honestly hadn’t thought about him after so many years. That being said, I have been deeply saddened by his passing. I have nothing but happy memories of him. Though our lives went very seperate ways I will always regard him as a friend and a hero to our country. I’m so sorry for your great loss. I will always try to honor his sacrifice with my life and interactions. I will always try to remember that though our military members may make it home, their battles may not be over. As others have said, may your pain quickly be replaced by happy memories. Rest in peace Cory.

My dear friend and Brother. There are so many stories I could tell. So many secrets we will take to our graves. You were BRAVE and FEARLESS in everything you did. You were always there for me no matter the time or day. Not only were you Benjamins HERO you were mine as well. Our lives will never be the same without you. You always gave, gave , and gave with never asking anything in return. Your HEART was bigger than this world and you loved with a passion. I will miss our Subway stops, our late pizza orders at night, going to the shooting range(and if you didn’t know what kind of shot he was….you wouldn’t want to be the one on the other end):) The days at the gym and you always pushing me to my limit. Working together on your homes and LL. Countless hours of just talking about life and what we were going to do together. I will miss hearing you say “Good to HOOK”. I started using that phrase around everyone and it drove them crazy. Your support of me and Aimee through our crap and never turning your back on me. I will never forget. I love you sir, WE love you sir and may you rest in peace. We will see you on the flip side. Love your brother, Anthony Rada

To Cory’s family I submit my sincerest condolences. I am still in shock about the news. Cory was a great person. I enjoyed working with him through our relationship as business associates (I work for the radio stations where he advertised) and our relationship was becoming a friendship as well. My thoughts are with you all during your time of mourning and healing. May warm, sweet memories quickly replace the pain you are feeling now.

I will miss his vitality and I hope he is resting peacefully.

    With Deepest Sympathy,

I have nothing but good memories of Cory. I served with him in the 82nd Airborne Division. He was a great guy and a man of honor. He was exactly the kind of guy you’d want watching your back when your lives are at stake.

    Sleep well, Gray. “Rock Platoon”
