Clyde W. Beavers, age 82 of Hendersonville passed away March 29, 2015 at his home. Mr. Beavers was born on June 8, 1932 in Tennga, GA to the late Reece and Esther Beavers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Roy and Edsel Beavers. Mr. Beavers was a wonderful husband who loved God and his family; he was kind and loving to everyone; many people can say that their lives were forever changed because of knowing him and his generosity. He was an accomplished singer and songwriter; also owned Beaverwood Audio-Video which he considered a ministry because it allowed him to work with various churches and Christian musicians. He is survived by his wife, Louise Beavers; children, Melissa Beavers Rogers (Jackie), Marty C. Beavers (Robin) and Tonya Beavers Gregory (David W.); grandchildren, Tosha Gregory Smart, Christie Ross, Daniel Beavers, Lisa Rogers, Katrina Sanders, Tamera Gregory Satterfield and Chad Gregory; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Sam Beavers and sister, Johnnie Ruth Headrick. Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, April 2nd at 1:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Cole & Garrett Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Boyd officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday from 4-8 P.M. and on Thursday from 11 A.M. until service time at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, 127 N. Main St., Goodlettsville (615)859-5231

    My father, Bobby Cox played in Clydes band in the late 60s / early 70s. He was always kind to dad and our family. Rest in peace Mr. Beavers.

    Clyde and I have been friends for 50 years, and we met in Puerto Rico at the Naval Air Statio, Roosevelt Roads, he and his great band, Jim Hunt, Gene Sloan, the late Jim Baker and Sudie Callaway played there for a week and Clyde and I became great friends an we will sure miss him. To his fabulous wife Louise and children we will be praying for you. Clyde NO MORE PAIN, isn’t it wonderful?

    I served as an attorney for Clyde over the past 25 years in some of his business matters. Clyde was a man of great integrity and empathy for others. Clyde would not take advantage of another, even if he was in the right. There needs to be more business-people in the world like Clyde Beavers.
