Mrs. Cathy Louise Huffines, 65, of Cottontown, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Skyline Medical Center. She was born on May 19, 1953 to the late Milton and Effie Hale. She is also preceded in death by one brother, Earl Hale; and one sister, Leela Oden.
Cathy loved being outside. She loved gardening, flowers, her fishing pond outside of her house, and just being outside. She was also an avid lover of all sports but Tennessee Titans were her favorite. She enjoyed being with her family and loved her grandchildren with her whole heart.
Cathy is survived by her husband of 46 years, Robert Huffines; daughter, Wendy Swift (Cary); grandchildren, Brittany Schmidt and Austin Swift; great grandchildren, Kaydence and Vera Swift; sisters, Evelyn Covington and Gladys Andrews.
A life celebration will be held 2pm Thursday, September 13, 2018 in the chapel of Cole and Garrett Funeral Home in White House. Family will receive friends from 3-8pm on Wednesday and again from 12-2pm prior to the service. Burial will follow at White House Memorial.

    Alice Hale McMurtry rest in peace beautiful angel you with your mother and father and brother and sister Layla always loved you was a big part of me and Earl’s life so sorry for the other one but you would have laughed back in the day we stayed with you when I was pregnant with Amie over there Due West while y’all was building your beautiful home on the hill. Rest in peace beautiful angel you will fly high and sky and dance with the angels now

    Cathy you are the most precious lady. I was so lucky to have meet you even more lucky to have you as a family member. I think back to the secrets you would tell me when we lived next to you guys when Benny and I first married. I feel honored that you trusted me not to tell and no I didn’t and never will. I love you Cathy and I know you are one of God’s angels now and for always.
