I grew up with my aunt bessie, and lesa.
Aunt Bessie was like a grandmother to me.My family and I have been looking for her for several yrs. after she quit coming to the reunions. I guess we finally found her. Now she is with my dad, uncles, and seeing everyone she loves putting a big ole slap on the back.

    Love You Aunt Bessie

All of our memories of Aunt Bessie center around the cherished gatherings of the Brown Family Reunions. Aunt Bessie was always a life force: laughing, greeting, remembering “when”. My mama (Aunt Pennie) loved to share Aunt Bessie tales with us and she made sure that Calvin got one of Aunt Bessie’s proper welcomes – a hearty slap on tbe back – when he attended his first Brown Reunion in 1970. It was and is a favorite memory for us both!
Aunt Bessie will be waiting for us all, just behind those pearly gates- official greeter! Thank you for the memories; rest in peace.

I grew up next door to Ms. Bessie. Most of all I remember all the incredible flowers she had in the yard, she would let me take the hose and water them, and I thought that was always fun. Also she had all those little dogs that she loved.
