Mary Baker

Mary Edith Baker, age 96 of White House, passed away on November 27, 2022, at Nashville Center for Rehab and Healing in Nashville.

She was born on February 3, 1926, in Jackson County, Tennessee to the late George D and Kanzada Brown Parrish. She was one of eight children, John Herman Parrish, Charlie Edward Parrish, Janie Parrish Lovell Draper, Anna F Parrish, Margaret Elizabeth Parrish, Lillie Frances Parrish, Iva Mae Parrish.

Mrs. Baker was a member of Bethel Baptist Church for over 35 years. She loved reading, cross word puzzles and seek-a-word puzzles.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Baker is preceded in death by her husband, Harold J. Baker of 61 years.

She is survived by children, Kenneth (Vickie) Baker & Barbara Ellen (Paul) Page; grandchildren, Jason Baker, Jessica Speedy, Christopher Page, Amy Dawn Page and special friends and caregivers: Mary and Leroy Sterry.

A Life Celebration will be held at 4pm on Sunday, December 4th at Cole and Garrett Funeral Home in White House: 212 Hwy 76 White House, TN 37188 with Pastor Brandon Pugh officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4pm. Burial will follow on Monday December 5th at 10 am at the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery: 7931 McCrory Ln, Nashville, TN 37221.
